Since 1907, Rogers Memorial Hospital has grown alongside the practice of behavioral health. Our treatment programs have grown and evolved to meet the needs of our patients. We're excited that our facilities will reflect Rogers' excellence in psychiatric care.

Currently, the hospital is moving forward with a $27 million building project to include:

  • state-of-the-art inpatient wing
  • stand-alone building for child and adolescent services
  • building for the experiential therapy program

Filled with space, privacy and natural light, our new facilities will inspire healing for our patients.

Will You Help?

To support this endeavor, the Rogers Foundation needs to raise $4 million through our building...life. worth. living. capital campaign. $3 million is earmarked for the construction process while $1 million will be dedicated to an endowment supporting Patient Care Grants (see below).

Contributions to the capital campaign can be made by printing the DONATION FORM and mailing it with a check or credit card information to the Foundation office or through our ONLINE DONATION system.

  • Commitments can be a one-time gift or a pledge paid over three years.
  • Tribute gifts can be given "in honor of" or "in memory of."
  • Sale of stocks or real estate are possible.
  • Name Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation your will or as the beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan.

You can make a difference. Consider giving to this campaign. Your gift demonstrates your caring and together we can create a future for life. worth. living.

Endowment for Patient Care Grants

Raising $1 million toward the Rogers Foundation Endowment Fund is an important part of this campaign. It is a way to give beyond your lifetime. The endowment is invested and the Foundation uses the interest earned to sustain or upgrade the level of care or to help a family who cannot pay for treatment.

Establish your own endowed-named fund:

  • Endowed-named funds provide patient care resources for a lifetime and beyond.
  • For a gift of $50,000 or more, you can name a fund and designate the program you wish to support.
  • Only interest generated from the endowed funds would be used.
  • Contributions may be made with a one-time gift or paid over a period of time.
  • All gifts are tax deductible.

New Facilities

Child & Adolescent Care

The Child and Adolescent Centers are nationally recognized treatment programs. These programs incorporate a unique blend of intensive psychiatric care, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and medication, balanced with experiential therapy, educational support, and strong family involvement. As a result, kids return to their families, schools, and friends happier and healthier. Rogers Memorial Hospital is the only place in the country that offers this type of program.

A new facility specifically designed for children and teens will ease parents' anxiety associated with leaving a struggling son or daughter for psychiatric care. Our programming is second-to-none and our new facility will help parents feel good about bringing their child to us.

Plans include:

Natural setting with garden views │ single and double rooms for increased privacy │ kid-friendly environment │ windows throughout, filled with natural light │ comfortable areas for social interactions and quiet times │ special areas for family visits │ private consultation rooms │ two levels - dividing children and teens │ underground pathway for safe and easy access to other hospital areas

Inpatient Services

Rogers Memorial Hospital offers inpatient hospitalization in an acute, behavioral health setting for people who require brief intensive treatment for a wide range of psychiatric symptoms and diagnoses. Medically managed detoxification services are also provided. The primary goals of inpatient hospitalization are a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, stabilization of symptoms, and transition to a less intensive level of care.

Our new inpatient facility will enable patients to stay in their own private rooms. This will give them a feeling of safety and enable them to concentrate on their own recovery more effectively. Our plans also call for a greater number of group rooms and private meeting areas for patients to meet with therapists and visitors.

Plans include:

58 comfortable private rooms │ larger and more attractive group meeting spaces │ day rooms for leisure and quiet times │ underground pathway for safe and easy access to experiential therapy building │ separate units for adults, children and adolescents, and eating disorder patients │ comfortable spaces for family visits

Experiential Therapy

The use of physical actions and creative expression connect with a patient's perceptions and patterns of things. Experiential therapy at Rogers covers a variety of components including arts, recreation, adventure/outdoor education and fitness. Rogers has 23 specialized experiential therapists who either carry the credentials of their chosen discipline or have demonstrated their clinical abilities in a professional setting.

The experiential therapy program at Rogers accounts for 35% of the hospital's programming overall. Currently limited space used for experiential therapies does not allow for privacy in the group settings. New plans are designed to create areas where groups can participate in experiences that facilitate change and strengthen recovery.

Plans include:

Gymnasium │ high and low climbing elements │ recreational room for ping pong, foosball, etc. │ multi-purpose room for recreation, music, and movement therapies │ art therapy classroom │ fitness room with treadmills and weight machines
